When Sophie used to work at my company we were good friends. But she got a new job in Paris at the beginning of last year, and we lost contact. Then last week I got an email from her to say she would be in town and ask if I wanted to meet for lunch at the weekend. We talked for hours about everything that had happened to us since we last saw each other. I had a really nice time catching up with her (sich mit Freunden treffen und aufs Laufende bringen)
