A regular course in a small group is the most common type of course chosen by our customers, which normally takes place in the company 1-2 times a week for 2-3 teaching hours.
The goal of such courses is the improvement of general language skills, specialist vocabulary and appropriate business skills (e.g. telephoning, correspondence, meetings). They run for a minimum of 3 months, but more usually 6-12 months.
This type of course is the one usually chosen for management who need to address very specific topics, want to practise particular skills and are not in a position to attend a regular weekly course. It is also appropriate for those who have to prepare themselves for a particularly difficult situation, e.g. participation in an international conference. Coaching is the most flexible type of course and can be intensive, at regular intervals or when most suitable for the participant.
Intensive courses are best if very quick progress is necessary. They can be full-day or half-day over a period of 1 or more weeks. Intensive courses are often the best solution for those who travel a lot and who are therefore better able to concentrate on learning the chosen language over a short period of time, rather than a fixed weekly appointment over a period of months.
Every workshop focuses on one particular foreign language skill, usually takes place in your company and is created according to your specific needs. We can offer workshops lasting 1-3 days, half-days over a period of 1-2 weeks or once a week for 5-10 weeks.
Workshops are appropriate in cases where one particular skill needs to be addressed, e.g. when receptionists have to learn how to deal with calls from abroad or bookkeepers have to improve their email writing skills. We offer workshops focusing on the following business skills:: Telephoning, Meetings, Correspondence & E-Mails, Negotiations, Business Small Talk and Presentations.
This type of course takes place inhouse and is tailor-made to the customer's needs. We offer specialist language seminars focusing on:
and many others. Please contact us for details.
Learning how to deal with cross-cultural issues plays an important role in most of our courses. If necessary – e.g. as preparation for negotiations with a foreign business partner – we can offer workshops lasting one or several days, focusing on a particular business situation or country.
